In 2004, the Winnebago County State’s Attorney’s Office, Rev. William Kerr, Barb Stone, and Carol McFeggan started this support group. The group is here for adults who have lost a loved one as a result of an aggravated dui or homicide. We have a licensed clinical social worker who facilitates the meetings and helps survivors work through grief and assist with questions that arise. One or more of the victim advocates at the State’s Attorney’s Office are also present as co-facilitators. The advocates attend to offer support and help with questions you may have about the criminal justice system.
