Homicide Survivors Support Group

In 2004, the Winnebago County State’s Attorney’s Office, Rev. William Kerr, Barb Stone, and Carol McFeggan started this support group. The group is here for adults who have lost a loved one as a result of an aggravated dui or homicide. We partner with a licensed clinical social worker who facilitates the meetings and helps survivors work through grief and assist with questions that arise.

Information

For: Adults 18 years or older who have lost a loved one at the hands of another

When: The third Wednesday of each month from 5:30pm-7:00pm

(Please keep your contact information updated with us so we can inform you of any changes)

In addition to the monthly support group, an annual memorial service is held each year on the third Wednesday in May.

If you have any questions, please contact a victim service provider at (815) 319-4700.
